Reflection Design Studio is a nationally design practice engaged with architecture, interiors, landscapes and graphics. Based in Dhaka, Bangladesh since 2008. We carry out projects throughout the city, we collaborate closely with our clients and other professionals to achieve design excellence; projects that have integrity and which are both beautiful and functional. Our work is spatially intelligent, immaculately detailed and constructed, and offers flexible use and adaptability. In our consultancy buildings and spaces are both designed to respond to the immediate requirements of our clients, and can also change over time and through the movement of people within and through spaces.
We integrate landscape elements into the fabric of the building, creating hybrid structures which combine the permanence of construction with the fragility of planting. This design approach develops a visual language of sustainable architecture alongside the use of environmental technologies.
In our work we emphasize the importance of space, light and material. We believe that good design results from proportion, spatial and strategic planning, and the pleasure of apparent simplicity, the tactility of materials and elegance of detail. Our integrated approach to the design of architecture, interiors, landscapes, and graphics, reflects our philosophy that the quality of an environment relies on design rigor, and the seamlessness of all aspects of a project.
TEAM MEMBERS
The team of eight comprises many who have been with the practice since its inception in 2008 and has expanded to include those with expertise in digital architecture. Each team member of reflection contributes a unique range of knowledge, talents and skill sets to form the creative and collaborative environment at Reflection design studio. The common threads, linking and driving these diverse design professionals is a passion for architecture and a commitment to improving the built environment. The office structure promotes a meaningful input and continuity from the director and associate level at each stage of the project that includes close liaison with the client, user groups and governmental/private authorities to satisfy the special requirements of each project.

COLLABORATION
Reflection Design Studio values collaboration over arbitrative design implementation. Each project evolves over inputs from the client and skilled professionals who work cohesively to promote a collective design output. Our principal has also worked in collaboration with a number of local allied practices, in greater Dhaka and beyond. These are valuable resources and help to inform our projects and shape the way they develop. Hence, projects are not initiated with a preconceived notion rather we favor a progression where evolution and investigations can take us to unchartered territories. Even in construction, we believe in an inclusive relationship with contractors as opposed to one of confrontation.
